Welcome to our first weekly blog update! Learning Centre 4 is home to a class of 22 excited students and one very happy teacher! We have a great class! I wish I could share every moment with you but here is glimpse into some of the fun we had this week!
First Day Act of Kindness: Spreading Positive Thoughts
We have been practicing our classroom procedures this week to ensure a successful, smooth running classroom this year. We don't have a long list of rules in our classroom, but we do believe in showing kindness and respect in everything that we do. We have also been talking a lot about making "No Excuses" this year and reflecting on what it is we want to learn and achieve this school year.

What Kind of Teacher Do You Want?
I love doing this activity at the beginning of the year. Not only does it give me more insight on your child's expectations (Or in some cases wishes - if only we could all "do whatever we want all the time!") but the kids have tons of fun doing it. I will always ask your child for input to hear their ideas, voice their concerns and we make classroom decisions as a team, as much as possible. Here are a few of their answers...
" I want a nice teacher that lets us out early for recess."
" I want a teacher that helps me with basketball."
" I want a teacher who is nice, grateful, generous and fun!"
" I want a teacher to give a lot of education."
" I want a cool teacher - and normal and funny."
" I want a teacher that teaches awesome art."
" I want a teacher who lets us have PJ day."
" I want a teacher who lets us do whatever we want."
" I want a teacher that lets us have a technology day!"
" I want a teacher that lets us go outside."
